Sponsors

Are you a foundation or business interested in bringing about environmental sustainability to a nonprofit in your community?

We provide a way for you to sponsor the Green Start program for your grantees or other nonprofits in the community.

With your sponsorship, you will receive access to our project site to track the activities involved in "greening" your "adopted" facility. You will also receive a project summary of the environmental and financial savings gained at your sponsored facility.

Your sponsorship enables nonprofits to:

  • stay focused on the delivery of their missions;
  • concentrate on committing financial investments to necessary facilities upgrades;
  • dedicate staff resources to coordinate their sustainability efforts.
  • realize significant cost savings (typically greater than your sponsorship investment) on an ongoing basis. A gift that truly keeps on giving.

How you benefit?

Besides the obvious upfront cost and environmental savings that the Green Start program achieves with nonprofits, you benefit from:

  • Your funds going further: Organizations don’t just save money and reduce their environmental impact in the year the grant is made. Rather, they continue to accrue savings many years out into the future. These saved funds go towards mission-oriented program work rather than towards utility bills. Furthermore, because we seek to make environmental sustainability a part of the operating culture, our clients continue to implement new practices to reduce their environmental impact after participating in the Green Start program.
  • Enabling environmental sustainability beyond your foundation/business: For foundations and businesses with internal environmental sustainability efforts, you can extend your environmental commitment externally to your grantee networks and the communities they serve.

You play a critical part in bringing environmental sustainability to those affected by the Green Start program: our consulting volunteer, the nonprofit's staff, and the community they serve.
