  • Ability to authorize changes for a facility: Because the Green Start program requires changes to the physical structure (i.e. upgrades to water fixtures, lighting equipment, etc.), we make a greater impact when the nonprofit can authorize these changes;
  • Supported by senior management team: Because our program also recommends changes to deeply ingrained operating structures of a nonprofit (i.e. changes in purchasing policy, establishment of a culture of conservation, etc.), our efforts are more effective when the nonprofit's management team sees the value and necessity in being environmentally sustainable.
